I am Jane Langat, Ph.D. I am married to Rev. Reuben Langat, Ph.D. I was born in Kenya and moved to USA in 2004 in pursuit of higher education. I am a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary (Doctor of Philosophy in Intercultural studies and Master of Theology); Wesley Biblical Seminary (MA Christian Education); and Wesley College (BS Christian Education).
Before we moved to the USA, we served as missionaries to the Maasai people of Kenya for ten years and after that we moved to pastor in an urban church for seven years. I also worked with World Vision International, and also served in different ministries of the church in Kenya.
After my graduation from Asbury Theological Seminary, I moved to Hoisington where my husband was the pastor of Hoisington FUMC and Great Bend Trinity UMC, KS for three years. We currently live in Indianapolis, Indiana where my husband serves with Christian Missionary Fellowship International (CMFI) as the Director of Missions of Hope International (MoHI) partnerships.
Reuben and I have two children: Mercy and Brian. Mercy and her husband Munene live in Kentucky and both pursuing PhD studies at Asbury Theological Seminary (Intercultural Studies) and East Tennessee State University (Public Health) respectively. Brian just completed his junior year at Southwestern College, Winfield. He is majoring in Business and Computer Systems.
I am very excited and looking forward to coming to Minneola to serve God together with you and get to know each one of you.
May God bless you all.
Jane Langat, Ph.D.
